Types of sound
The sound is 70% of the film, it could be n the form of dialogue, music, and sound effect which are recorded later. The sound includes any type of sound such as;
Diegetic and non-diegetic is the sounds that could be only heard by the audience and actors whereas non-diegetic could only be heard by the audience such as music and sound effect.
Ambient sound is the environment sounds such as the background noise in the scene it could be in form of rain, traffic or people gossiping.
Sound effect (foley) and sound bridge, foley is the sound effect recorded after production in the studio these could be the footsteps, clock ticking or things breaking. Sound bridges are the connector to combine the sound channel together.
Voiceover/Narration is the narration of a scene not done by someone that is included in the scene but done by someone who is unseen or an onscreen character not seen speaking.
Dialogue and monologue are when the actors talk to each other in the scene and monologue s when the character is seen talking to himself such as seeing himself in the mirror from his past or future.
Mode of address is the talking expression or the tone in which the character is speaking such as if he is angry or sad.
The score is the original music or soundtrack of the movie made by themselves. The soundtrack is the vocal songs that are an accompaniment to the film.
ADR(automated dialogue replacement)/dubbing is to place pre-recorded dialogue over the original one.
