Montage

Montage is to select separate pieces of action and put them together through editing to make a complete story or the sense of the scene. Montage could be used to meet the time limit and have fewer series of shot that provides information about the scene. These could also be used to show the passage of time throughout the film or the story development

The term montage was found by the Russian soviet union when they were low on the resources to film and the film stock was scarce so they studies the films of Griffith and other producers to make the most effective and efficient use of their resources.
