Mise en scène

 Mise en scene is the setting or surrounding of a scene it is known as everything that appears within the scene such as the composition, sets, props, and even costumes and lighting.

Mise en scene creates a sense of believability for the viewer as if everything they are seeing is real. The tons of different elements of the Mise en scene in the movie create the vision of the film while at the same time creating audience mood and stating the thinking of different characters. 

These all concepts are overseen by the director while the production designer collaborates with the director to make an accurate aspect of the Mise en scene. The production designer is usually responsible for the looks in the movie while leading various departments such as makeup, costume, and location.
