Media language could be used to convey the meaning of the scene to the audience such as using different camera angle shots for example a scene could be shot on an isolated island focusing on the main subject and leaving a wide amount of neagitve space to express the loneliness on the island to the audience or it could be a character design such as a dark invader showing the characters attribute and personality.

The media represent reality, it is a reality different from the audience's direct experience of reality. It could be in form of a radio segment, magazine, film, or television program.

-How to target a specific audience?

Media is designed to appeal to the targeted audience, it is like adding pieces of the puzzle together. This could include the content the media features and the way it's set up such as teenage magazines are aimed at 13 to 18 years old, its made in vibrant colors and latest fashion tips to attract the growing community. these magazines often include stickers and small samples of products to attract their audience.

-What is an institution?

The institution is a fancy word for who makes the media for example a triple-A title game made by Bethesda or an indie game made by another company. These all elements have a huge impact on what they choose to make and how it represents reality, this also includes how the product is marketed.
